Finishing School in Production Engineering

4 to 30 November, 2019
BIEC, 10th Mile, Tumkur Road, Madavara Post, Bangalore

The Indian manufacturing sector has become major destination for global players not only for their manufacturing activities but also for marketing their latest developments specially in the field of CNC technologies. However, increased use of CNC machines / CNC automation doesn’t result in enhanced productivity directly. Systematic training in best manufacturing practices is highly crucial and well trained manpower can bring in significant improvement in productivity and quality levels thereby increased profitability. Amidst the competitive work environment today, Effective utilisation of resources including CNC machines, tooling, work holding and other accessories is the key to realise ever growing need for higher productivity.

Gear Design - A Practical approach

13 to 14 November, 2019
BIEC, 10th Mile, Tumkur Road, Madavara Post, Bangalore

Power transmission is very important aspect in many industries. Gears drives are most important drives used in transmitting mechanical power. Gears and Gear drives are also one of the key components of all kinds of vehicles, machine tools, aircrafts, household appliances as well as a broad variety of industrial equipment. Study of Gears, Gear terminology, correction, Quality, Strength calculations, Errors & its Measurement is a fairly complex data. Proper understanding about all these topics and selecting gears with required quality to the required application gives better productivity, long life and noise less drive for the industries.

Design of Gauges

14 to 15 November, 2019
12/5, D1 Block, MIDC Chinchwad, Pune

Quality is very important to any industry for proper business and reputation. We all know that the quality is achieved by production and not by inspection, but we need to inspect to know the produced quality. We cannot depend on Standard Room to assess the quality of a parameter of a part, as it takes long time and the machine has to wait till the results come. Also many parts would be waiting in the queue. Machine has to be idle which means loss of money. We need to inspect in the shop immediately after the first part is produced. We cannot always use instruments for all parameters of checking, as the instruments are not tailor made for the required parameters. Hence there is a need for SPECIAL GAUGES to cater to different parameters of the component. Parameters are either gauged for OK or NOT OK situation or the actual value. Parameters can be the dimensions or the Geometrical tolerance. Plug Gauges, Ring Gauges, Snap Gauges, Position Gauges and Indicating Gauges like Depth and True Running Gauges are some of the examples for gauges, play a role in manufacturing line and inspection of components. Keeping this in view Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is organizing a 2 day programme on “Design of Gauges” on 14-15 November 2019 at IMTMA,Pune

Implementing Industry 4.0 in Manufacturing

15 to 16 November, 2019
BIEC, 10th Mile, Tumkur Road, Madavara Post, Bangalore

Industry 4.0 or “Smart Manufacturing” has become a buzzword in any International Conference and Trade Fair related to Manufacturing in last few years, covering the holistic-automated-integration of machine / process monitoring with production plan, logistics, vendor processes to Business Level ERP for real time communication and control of overall performance. All major economies are pursuing this concept vigorously and soon it could become a standard norm for Industry operation rather than an option.
