Training Programme on
Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing in Design through Manufacturing (for GDTP – Technologist Level)
18th – 20th June 2014, BIEC, Bangalore
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) system eliminates ambiguities in engineering drawings and brings out the designer's intent very clearly. It ensures seamless communication between design, engineering, manufacturing and quality teams across the entire organization enabling them to work in a concurrent engineering environment. Application of GD&T system helps to reduce the manufacturing and inspection costs drastically.
Taking note of the importance of providing holistic GD&T training on the ASME Y 14.5 Standard 1994 & on ASME Y 19.5 Standard 2009, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) had organized a three day intensive training programme at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.
The programme was conducted by a Director from IMTMA who was experienced in the field of high precision CNC machining, CAD/CAM programming in R & D and Tool Room industries for about 12 years.
Twenty participants from companies such as Avasarala Technologies, Burndy Technologies and Business Services, Claudius Peters, Gabriel India, Hero MotoCorp, ITC Infotech India, L&T Technology Services, MHI-VST Diesel Engines, and Renishaw Metrology Systems attended the training.
